RESOLi_~TIUN ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACTS
FOR RENTAL OF SNOW-PLOWING EQUIPMENT C-1188 C-1189
WHEREAS, it is determined necessary and expedient to the public health,
convenience, and general welfare that village streets be cleared of snow
as soon as possible a~.d,
WHEREAS, presently owned village equipment may be inadequate for such
snow removal,
NOW THEREFORE, BL IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VIL_T_~AGE
OF RICHFIELD, MINNESOTA=
1. That the bid of Park Construction Company, 1?~05 11th Avenue South,
for rental of Ford F8 trucks with one-way snow plow at a rate of X5.55.
per hour plus X1.10 per-hour for work performed on Sundays and holidays as
determined to be the lowest bid by a responsible bidder on rental of this
type of equipment; and that the bid of Jay W. Craig Company, 1814 Califor-
nia Street N. E., for motor graders at .8.50 per. hour is hereby determined
to be the lowest bid by a responsible bidder on rental of this type of
equipment.
2. That the said bids of Park Construction Company and Jay W. Craig
Company are hereby accepted.
3. That. the proposed contract between said Park Construction Com-
pany and the Village of Richfield be given Clerks File No. C-1188, and
that the proposed contract between the said Jay W. Craig Company and
the Village of Richfield be given Clerks File No. C-1189; that both of
the aforesaid contracts for rental of snow plowing equipment are hereby
approv~:d and the Mayor, Manager and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to do all things necessary to execute said .contracts.
!~. That payments under the terms of said cotracts shall be charged
against the General Fund, Contingency Appropriation, Rental of Machinery
and Equipment Account.
5. That the "Clerk is authorized and directed to return the security
documents to the unsuccessful bidders.
Passed by the Village Council this 26th day of October 1953•
