RESOLUTION ORDERING. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
AUMTISEKW T FOR BIDS, AND PUBLIC HEARING CK
STORM SE{M IMPROVEMENT. VILLA(Z PROJECT N0. 225.
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of this Council adopted August 10,
1953,, a report has been prepared by G. M. Orr Engineering Company, consulting
engineers, with reference to the improvement of the area in the vicinity of
65th Street and Wentworth Avenue ( more particularly described hereinafter)
by the construction of a general system of storm sewers and appurtenances thereto
in said area, and
SEAS, this report was received by this Council on August 244 1953s
and it appears feasible to make said improvement, and
14HEREAS, it further appears that if such improvement is to be constructed
it should be constructed as soon as conveniently may be, and that therefore it is
necessary and desireable to advertise for bids for the construction .of said proposed
improvement as soon as possible.
NCW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 7HE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF.7HE VILLAGEOF
RICHFIELD, MIMESOTA:
1. That this Council will consider the making of said improvement, in
accordance with said report, such improvement to be made within the area included
within the following described boundary line, to wit:
Beginning on the center line-of 62nd street 165 feet Westerly
of the center line of Lyndale Avenue, thence Easterly along
center line of 62nd Street to the center lime of the M.N.& S.
right -of- way; thence Southerly along center line of said
right -of -way to a point 330 feet Southerly of center line of
63rd Stmt, thence Easterly to center line of Nicollet Ave,
thence Southerly on center line of Nicollet Avenue. to the cen-
ter line or 67th Street produced, thence Westerly along center
line of 67th Street produced to a point 165 feet Easterly of
the center line of Grand Avenue, thence Southerly to a point
330 feet Southerly of center line of 67th Street thence Westerly
to 165 feet Westerly of Garfield Avenue, thence Northerly to
center line of the alley in Block 3, Fairwodd Shores produced
thence al ng center line of alley in Blo�ek 3 produced to a point
165 feet Westerly of the Center line of Lyndale Avenue, thence
Northerly to center line of 63rd Street, thence Easterly to the
center line of Garfield Avenue, thence Northerly to a point 330
feet Northerly from the center line of 63rd Street, thence
Westerly to 165 feet Westerly of Lyndale Avenue, thence Northerly
to the point of beginning.
That such consideration shall be with a view toward assessing all or
part of the cost of said improvembnt against all land included in the above -
described area which is specially benefited thereby, pursuant to M.S.A.
429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Ch. 398), at an estimated cost of $61,952.00.
3. That a public hearing shall be held by this Council on such proposed
improvement on.the 13th day of October, 3953, at 8:30 P.M. in the council chambers
of the Village Ball, and the Village Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed
to give such published notice of such hearing as required by law.
6 That the G. M Orr Engineering CaApany is hereby authorized and directed
to prepare plans and specifications for said proposed improvement, and that the
