RESOLUTTOAT AUTHORIZING VILLAGE, FINANCE
OFFIGER TO ACCEPT ADVANCE PAXMENTS YN ESGROW
FOR SANITARY SEWER TA9PROVENENT N0. 1.

BE IT RESOLVED by th® Village Council of the Village of Richfield,
Hennepin County, Minneso#,a, as follows:
1. That the Village Finance Officer be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to accept advance paTjments f or prospective special assessments to be
made against benefited property by reason of the construction of Sanitary Sewer
Improvement No. 1.
2. That he shall accept an amount which w i1113e equal to the sum of
X1.25 per frontfoot of the parcel of land for which such advance escrow
payment 3s made; provided that if' such parcel of land abuts upon a street
in which an interceptor sewer is being constructed a s part of such project,
then he shall aacept an additional amount which will be equal to the sum of
$3.49 per front foot of such parcel; provided that if such parcel is provided
with a service connection from such interceptor sewer to the lot line of such
parcel then he shall accept an additional amount which will be equal to the sum
of X2.50 per foot of such service connection measured from the center of the street
to the lot line; provided ghat if such parcel consists. of vnplatted land of
greater size than residential lots, he may accept an amount which will be equal
to the sum of X300. (~ per sere of such parcel in lieu of the sum of X1.25 per f root
foot hereinbefore mentioned.
3,: Neither this resolution nor the acceptance of such escrow payment
shall constitute a final determination of the amount which shall finally be
assessed against any parcel of land in the Village of Richfield for the
making of Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1, but such payment sha].1 b e accepted
by him and deposited in escrow with the Village depository wi.t~ the condition
and understainding that if the assessment against the parcel for wh~ieh such .
payment 3s made, when finally adopted by the Village Council, shall be e~yual-
to or in excess of such advance payment then such payment may be applied
against the assessment so made and the balance, if any, levied as the assessment
against such parcel; and that if such assessment is less than the amount so
deposited then arty overpayment shall be refunded to the person making such
payment and a sum equal to the amount of the assessment may be applied
against the assessment so made so as to pay the same 3n full.
/~. That the Village Manager, Mayor, Finance Officer, and Attorney are
hereby authorized to take such steps as ~.y be necessary to effect the terms
of this resolution.
