WHEREAS, pursuant to previous authorization by this Council, the G. M. Orr Engineering Company has prepared plans and specificati ins for that portion of Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1 consisting of interceptors sewers, and whereas, pursuant to such authorization said G. M, Orr Engineering Company has now prepared plans and specifications for Sewage Lift Stations and Sewage Metering Station to comprise a part of Sanitary Viewer Improvement No. 1, which are designated "Sewage Lift Stations 8c Sewage Metering Station for Village of Richfield, Minnesota, Project•No. 180", and WHEREAS, this council has examined said plans and specifications. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVE) BY THE VILLAGE COWL CIL (~' THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD AS F®LLOWS: 1. That the glans and specifications heretofore mentioned, designated as "Sewage,Lift Stations and Sewage Metering Station fcSr Villa.geof Richfield, ~li.nnesota, Project No. 180" are hereby orderdd placed on file in the office of the Village Clerk and given Clerk's file No. C-671aA. 2. That sa-id plans and specificati ins are hereby approved and adopted. 3. That the portion of Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1 covered by and included within said plans and specifications shall be made in a ccordance therewith, subject to such changes as may hereafter be authorized by this Council. !~. That this Council will meet at 8:00 O' clock P, M~, July 13, 1953 at the Village Hall in this Village for the purpose of receiving and considering bids for the construction of the work included in, and inaccordance with, said plans and specifications. 5. That bids for such ~eonstructiorm will be received until 8:00 0' clock P, M, on said date, and will be publicly opened and considered by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield at 8:15 d' clock P. M. on said date. 6. That the Village Clerk of the Villageof Richfield is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids on said construction. 7. PROJECT N0. ].80 Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County, I~i.nr;esota, at the Richfield Clerk's Office until 8:00 O'clock P. M. on the 13th day of July, 1953, and wi71 be publicly opened anal considered by the Village Council of Richfield in the Council Chambers at the Richfield Village Hall at 8:15 P.M. on the a•6ove date for the construction, furnishing labor and materials complete in. place for: ~~ (a) Four (~.) Sewage Lift Stations. (b) fine (1) Sewage Metering Station. Proposals arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. Each proposal and all papers bound and attached thereto, together Frith proposal guaranty, shall be placed in an envelope and securely sealed :therein. The envelope shall be so marked as to indicate, (1) the mane of bidder, (2) type of construction and Project Number, and shall be addressed to the Village . Clerk, Village of Richfield, Richfield Village Ha11, 6700 Portland Avenue South, Richfield, (Minneapolis 23)Minnesota. It may be either mailed, delivered by messenger or submitted in person. . Proposal forms, contract documents, plans and specifications, as prepared by G. M. Orr Engineering Co., 1004 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis 3, Minnesota are on file and may be seen at the Office of the Village Engineer, Richfield, Minnesota, or the Gonsulting Engineers. Copies of Proposal Forms, plans and Specifica.ti ins for use by Contractors submitting a bid may be obtained from the Consulting Engineers upon. deposit of $50.00. This deposit will be returned to contractors who submit a bonafide did and who return -the plans and specifications 3n good condition within fifteen (15) days after the opening of bids. One-half of the amount of the deposit will be refunded for each of all other sets of documents so returned. This work will be paid for in cash. Partial payments will be made month7.y equal. to 85~ of the value of the work, including the value of the materials on t3,ie ground required in the- construction which have been delivered to the site or adjacent theretA. Such payments will be based upon estimates submitted by the contractor monthly showing work completed to date and approved by the Engineer and the Village Council. The Village of Richfield will make final payment within thirt~r days after acceptance of the tirork in conformance with the ge>~eral ` requirements and covenants of the contract. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Village Clerk of Richfield and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond or certified check payable to the Village of Richfield, for 5~ of the amount bid, (to be forfeited as liquidated damages in -the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder shall fail to enter promptly into a written contract ar~.d furnish the required bond.)
