RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR
CONVEYANCE OF LAND
WHEREAS, the following described real estate situated within the boundaries
of the Village of Richfield has bebn forfeited to the 5tgte of Minnesota for non-
payment of taxes, to-wits
Lots twenty-three (23) and twenty four (2!~), Block Fifteen (15), New Ford
Towns according to the recorded plat thereof on file or of record in the office
of the Register of Deeds of Hennepin County Minnesota.
WHEREAS, said land is located on the proposed route of the main sanitary sewer
line running from the villages of Edina and Richfield to the City of Minneapolis, and,
WHEREAS, said land is located on the proposed route for a street from Cedar
Avenue to Standish~Avenue, and
WHEREAS, this council has determined to make both of said improvements on said
land during the year 1953, and
Wf~REAS, land adjacent to said property on the south is developed with buildings
and structures and is too high in elevation to constitute a suitable location far
said sewer main and street, and the land adjacent to said land on the north is low,
swampy.lancl, unsuitable for the location of said sewer line or said street, and
Wf~REAS, this village has taken steps to acquire the necessary lots east and west
of said lots in order to construct said street and main sewer line along the route
which crosses and includes said land.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield,
that the Village of Richfield make application for the conveyance of the land herein-
before described and that Fred C. Reller as Mayor and Leroy Trafton as Manager be and
hereby are authorized and directed to execute said Application and any and all
documents necessary in order to acquire title to said lands.
Passed by the Village Council the 9th day of Februarys 1953.
