RESOLUTION N0. 84
RESOLUTION RELATING TO PURCHASE OF
CERTAIN LAND FOR STORM SEWER PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield
as followss
1. That it is hereby determined that the following described
property is needed for public purposes, including the purpose of a
drainage basin for storm sewer waters;
That part of the Southeast 1/1~ of the Northeast 1/~ of Section
279 Township 28 North, Range 24 West of the 4th Principal Meridian,
described as follows, to wits Commencing at the intersection of
the North line of "Ralph Milner~s Addition" and the East line of
"Ralph Milner~s 2nd Addition"~ said East lute being paxal~el
to and 470 feet East of the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of
the Northeast 1/4 of Section 27, Township 28, Range 24; thence
North on the East line of "Ralph Milner1s 2nd Addition" to its
intersection with the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of the.
Northeast 1/I~ of Section 27, Townshig~ 28, Range 2J~~ thence East
on the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/!~ of
Section 279 Township 289 Range 24 to a point 532.4 feet West
of the East line of the Northeast 1/~. of Section 27, Township
28, Range 24 on the North line of the Southeast 1/l~ of the
Northeast 1/4 of said Sect~iaon; thence South parallel to and
532.4 feet West .of the East line of the Northeast 1/4 of
Section 27, Township 289 Range 24, to the Northeast corner '
of "Ralph Milner~s Addition; thence West to the place of beginning.
2. That the offer of Ralph G. Milner to sell said property; to
release all claims for compensation for easements leading to said property
heretofore grant4d to the Village of Richfield: to settle and release
the Village of Richfield from all claims under any prior agreement or
agreements with the Village for the purchase, use or improvement of said
property or other adjoining property now or heretofore owned by said persons;
and to release the village from all claims by reason of past use of said
property by the village9 for the total of X2,500.00 is hereby determined
to be fair and reasonable and is hereby accepted.
3. That the mayor manager9 finance officer, and attorney are
hereby authorized to do any and all things necessary to complete said
purchase and pay for land9 release and settlement in accordance with the
terms hereof.
