RESOLUTION NO. 82
RESOLUTION RELATING TO SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT
N0. 1, DETERMINING TO PROCEED WITH SAID IN~ROVEMENT,
AND ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS."
BE IT RESOLVED, by the village Co~cil of the Village of Richfield
as follows:
1. That this Council having held public hearimgs on Sanitary
Sewer Improvement No. 1~ in accordance with, and as required by laws
on November 13, 11.t., and 17s 1952, it is hereby determined to be
advisable, expedient and necessary to the public health, convenience
and general welfare to construct said Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1,
except that portion within the corporate limits of the Village of
Richfield which lies east of 2l~th Avenue South.
2. That the G. M. Orr Engineering Company is hereby authorized
and directed to prepare final plans and specifications for all of said
Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 1 except that portionohereinbefore
mentioned, in accordance with the in~'ormation and as shown on the
preliminary plot plan heretofore received and accepted on behalf of
the Village of Richfield.
3. That said engineering work shall be performed in accordance
with the terms and provisions of that contract dated April 25, 1952
between said G. M. Orr Engineering Company and the Village of Richfields
but the authority to perform said services is given sub3ect to the
following conditions:
A. In the preparation of said final plans and specifications,. the
G. M. Orr Engineering Company shall prepare plans and specifications,
cost estimates, contract documents, and related materiel in such form
that the work relating to sanitary sewers to be designed for the point
use of the Villages of Edina and Richfield and appurtenances thereto
shall be separates and distinct from the work relating. to sanitary sewers
designed for the use of Richfield only.
B. That in performing said engineering services priority shall be
given to the completion of the said work relating to sanitary sewers to
be designed for the point uae of the Villages of Edina and Richfield.
C. That the work herein authorized which relates to sewers designed
to serve both Edina and Richfield shall be reg~yrded as having been
authorized jointly with the Village of Edina.
}~. That the Village Manager, acting on behalf of 'the Village Cauncils
is authorized and directed to request said engineering services by the G. M.
Orr Engineering Company, in writing, 3n accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
