A R.~50LUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING WORK TO PROCEED
ON PROJECT N0. 139 UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE VILLAGE ENGINEER.
WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore ordered the preparation
of plans and specifications for Village Project No. 139 by the Village
Engineers and
~REA.S, this Council has examined said plans and specifications
and has found them to be satisfactory, and
WHEREAS, the Village Clerk has heretofore caused an advertisement
for bids for said project to be placed in the official newspaper of this
village as required by law, and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been open to public
inspection .and on file as indicated in the advertisement for bids for
said pro~eet, and copies thereof have been available to anyone desiring
to bid on said project, as indicated in said advertisement for bids,
NOW THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the
Village of Richfield as follows s
1. That the plans. and specifications heretofore prepared by
the Village Engineer for Project No. 139 are hereby approved.
2. That the acts of the Village Clerk in advertising for
bids on said project in accordance with said p~.ans and specifications are
hereby approved and ratified.
3. That it is hereby determined that the bid of Ray W. Skelton
Company on said pro3ect is the lowest responsible bid, and the same is
hereby accepted.
~.. That the Mayor and Manager are hereby authoz°3.zed and
directed to execute a contract for the construction of said improvement
in accordance with said bid, upon the furnishing of a public contractor+s
bond by the successful bidder 3n the amount of the contract price.
5. That said work shall be done under the direction and supervision
of the Village Engineer.
