ORDINANCE NO. 2.10 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO HEATING AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS, ADOPTING CERTAIN ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS BY REFERENCE The Village Council of the Village of Richfield,. Hennepin County, pii.nnesota, do ordain as followsa Section 1. The Electrical Code of the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, entitled ~~An Ordinance Regulating the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of Electric Wires, Apparatus and Plants within the City of Minneapolis~~, passed the 31st day of March, 1922, as amended, is hereby adopted and shall be in full force and effect in this Village, except as hereinafter specified. All work done hereafter in this Village shall be done in accordance with the regulatory provisions thereof, Section 2. The Heating Code of the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota, entitled "An Ordinance Relating to and Regulating the Construction, Installation,. Alteration, Maintenance and Repair of Heating, Ventilating and Air conditioning Plants and Equip- ment 3a. or for Buildings of All Classes Within the City of Minneapolis~~ as reprinted in 1950, with amendments thereof to said date,, is hereby adopted and shall be in force and effect in this Village, except as hereinafter specified. All work done hereafter in this Village shall be done in accordance with the regulatory provisions thereof. Section 3. Three copies of each of the aforementioned codes shall be filed by the Village ~].erk in his office for inspection and use of the public and shall be marked by the. Clerk Keith the words, «Village of Richfield, Official Copy~~. Section 4. Wherever either of said codes refers to the City of Minneapolis it shall be deemed applicable to the Village of Richfield in lieu thereof, and wherever either of-said codes refers to any administrative office or officer of the City of Minneapolis, it shall be deemed to refer and be applicable to the appropriate corresponding of- flee or officer of the Village of Richfield. Section 5. No"person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of electrician or heating installer, without first securing the appropriate license therefor from the Village of Richfield permitting him to engage in such business. The f®es for such licenses shall be the same as those provided by the City of Minneapolis on the date hereof. The Villa ge Council shall pass upon the granting of any such license. Any person, firm or corporation holding a license or qualified to hold a license in the City of Minneapolis, may, upon proof Cher©of, be entitled to receive a license from the Village of Richfield provided that the applicant shall provide such bond and insurance as are required by the City of Minneapolis for such licenses; provided further that any applicant for a license may be denied a license if it shall appear that such applicant has violated the providions of this ordinance, even though such person holds a license or is qualified to hold a license in the City of Minneapolis.. Section 6. Tt shall be the duty of the Chief Inspector to enforce the provisions of this ordinance, sub3ect to the control and direction of the Village Manager.. Section 7.
