The Village Council of the Village of Richfield does ordain as follows: Ordinance No.. 12.01 of the Village of Richfield entitled rrAn Ordi- nance to Establish a Position-C1a ssifica.tion i'l.an~ a Compensation Plan, a Merit System and a Basic Personnel Policy for the Village of Richfield, Minnesota" passed February 26, 191, as subsequently amended, is hereby amended in the following respects: (1) Section 5~ Subsection D thereof is amended to read as follows: rrD. Affects Leave Benefits. B~.iring the initial probationary period, but not during a promotional probationary period, an employee will not be entitled to sick leave or vacation leave. After six months of service an employ®e will be entitled to sick leave and vacation leave, the sick leave to be accrued from the start of the ir~iti.al .probationary employment.rr (2) Section l.6 thereof is an ended to read as follows: rrSection 16. Over-time Payment. Authorized over-time work shall be compensated for at the regulax rate of pay. Over-time shall be cotr~ puted on the basis of the number of hours acinally worked in any one month in re lat3.on to the number of regular working hours in that parti- cular month for the particular position involved. The assignr~nt of over-time work shall. be made with regard for uniformity and equality of treatment among qualified employees.rr (3) Section 17, Subseclaons A B ~ ~> thereof are amended to read as follows: rrA. How P~,ch.~ After the expiration of the probationary period each employee sha 11 earn vacation leave as follows: During the last six months of the first year of full-time service or its equivalent, the employee shall earn vacation leave at the rate of one working day per calendar month with a maximum of one full working week... Vacation leave may be used as earned, pro- vided that the appointing authority shall determine the time at which vacation leave may be takena~r ~~C: ~.ccrual« Employees may accrue vacation leave to a maxi- mum of twenty-four (2la.) work3.ng days. In the eeent an employee has been unable to take advantage of vacation leave as earned with the result that said employee has accumulated a total of twenty-four (21;) working days vacation, he may absent himself from work without notice to take vacation leave and thus prevent the loss of vacation leave beyond the maximum of twent~q-four . (24) days. (4) Section 18, Subsection B thereof is hereby amended to read as follows; t~B. Accrual. Sick ~ eve may be granted only for absence from duty because of personal illness, 1ega1 quarantine, or death or serious illness in the immediate familya Sick leave shall. be com- puted on a calendar year basis and may be accumulated to a total of not more than 100 days.
