' Bill No. 1959 -24 LICENSE FEE 1 ORDINANCE No. 13.01 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO LICENSE FEES, PERMIT FEES AND OTHER VILLAGE CHARGES, AMENDING CERTAIN FEES AND ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL FEES AND CHARGES., The Village Council of the Village of Richfield does ordain as follows; 1. The license fees, permit fees, and other charges hereinafter set forth are the fees and charges of the village after the effective date hereof. To the extent that other fees and charges appearing in other ordinances are incon- sistent herewith,. the provisions of this ordinance shall govern. Except as herein provided such other ordinances remain in full effect, 2. Unless otherwise specifically .provided, license fees: referred to herein are annual licenses for calendar years and the license fee for a portion of a calendar year is the same as for a full calendar year. 3. In lieu of the permit fees for building permits provided for in Ordin- ance No. 2.01, Section 6, the permit fees for such permits are as follows: a$ The minimum building permit fee is $1.00. b. The permit fee for houses is $1.00 for each 1,000 cubic feet or fraction thereof. c. The permit fee for residential garages is 90¢ for each 11000 cubic feet or fraction thereofo d. The permit fee for the remodeling, alteration or repair of any structure is $3.00 for each $500.00 or fraction thereof in the cost of the work. e. The permit fee for any structure other than houses and residential garages is $1.25 for each 1,000 cubic feet or fraction thereof. 4o In lieu of the plumbing license and permit fees provided for in Ordin- ance No, 2.01, Section 9, the permit fees for such permits and licenses are as follows as The permit fee is $3.00 for the first $100.00 or fraction thereof of the cost of reconstruction, alteration or repair of any part of any sewer or water system, and such fee is $1.50 for each additional $100.00 or fraction thereof of the cost of such work. b. The permit fee for each plumbing fixture is $1.50. c. The license fee for each coin - operated mechanical amusement device, other than animal rides, under the provisions of Ordinance No. 3.02, is $50.00; and for each coin - operated mechanical minsic box it is $25.00. 10. The license fee for a theatre provided for in Ordinance No. 3.03, is $100.00. 11. The permit fee for public dances, provided for in Ordinance No. 3.04, is $2.00 per day except where a tavern license is in effect. 12. The license fees for amusements provided for in Ordinance No. 3.05 are as follows; For carnivals or mountebanks, $100.00 per day; for theatrical performances or stage shows, $100.00 per day; for bowling alleys, $10.00 per lane; for me nT go- rounds and other mechanical or animal rides, $10.00; for circuses, $100.00 per day; for miniature golf, $10.00; for driving tees, $10.00; for each billiard, pool or pigeonhole table or shAffleboard lane, not mechanically operated or coin - operated, $10.00. 13. The license fee for motels provided for in Ordinance No. 3.061, is $5.00 for the first lodging unit and $2.50 for each additional lodging unit. The license fee for garbage haulers provided in Ordinance No. 3,08, is $25.00 for the first vehicle and $10.00 for each additional vehicle operated by the same licensee. A. The license fees for taxicabs and auto liveries and for taxicab drivers provided for in Ordinance No 3.09, are $20.00 for the first vehicle and $10.00 for each additional vehicle operated by the save licensee, and the license fee for each taxicab driver is 000% 17. The licenoe fee for peddling milk and cream provided for in Ordinance No. 3.12, is $10.00 for each peddler, or if vehicles are used in connection therewith, $20.00 for the first such vehicle and $10.00 for each additional vehicle operated by the same licensee. The license fee for the sale of cigarettes provided for in Ordinance No. 3.76 is $12.05 per yeary For periods of less than one year, such license fee is pio-rated at the rate of $1.00 per month or fraction thereof. 19. In lieu of the license fees for the sale of non-intoxicating malt liquor provided for in Ordinance No, 3.1?2, the license fees for such sale are as follows,- For each cn-sale establishment', $200.001 for each club, $100.00; for each whole- sale establishment, $10.001 for each off-sale establishment, $15.00; for each tavern, $300-00. Such tavern license shall include an annual dancing permit and an cn-sale beer license,, 20. In lieu of the license and, permit fees provided for scavengers in Ordin- ance No. 3.20, the license fee for each such vehicle is $20.00, and the permit fee for the cleaning of or pumping a cesspool or septic tank is $2.00'' 21. In lieu of the bicycle license fee provided in Ordinance No. 3.219 bicycle linen shall hereafter be issued for a term of five calendar years, with the year in which the license is granted being the first calendar year. The license fee for such five year license is 81.00. 22. In lieu of the license fee for well drillers and the permit feed for wel! wok provided in Ordinance No. 3.22, such license and permit fees are as a. The license fee for well-drillers is $25.00. The license fee for a Christmas tree sales lot provided for in Ordinance No. 3.23 is 4`25.00. 26. The license fee for a dealer in motor vehicles provided for in Ordin- ance No. 3.24 is $50.00 for each such dealer, and the license fee for each additional establishment operated by the same licensee is 4`15.00. 27. The license fee for the sale of soft drinks provided for in Ordinance No. 3.25 is T;p5.00. 28. In lieu of the permit fees provided for in Ordinance No. 3.261, the annual permit fee for the location of a bench on, a, pt:,,blic property is �W[6.00, and the annual renewal permit fee for such bench is 65.00. 29. In lieu of the bililding permit fees provided for in Ordinance No. 3.271 for advertising signs,, the fee is as follows: For a sign not exceeding 100 square feet in area, 4,)'3.00; for each additional- 50 square feet or fraction thereof, 4`1.00. The annual renewal permit for a sign not exceeding 100 square feet in area is 4 %1.00, and for each additional fifty feet or fraction thereof it is 500. 30. The permit fees for broadcasting vehicles provided for in Ordinance No. 3.28 is 9,50.00 for an annual permit, 0-00 for the first day under a daily permit, and ;�,1.00 for each subsequent day under a daily permit. 31. In lieu of the license fee for wagon peddlers provided for in Ordin- ance No. 3.28W, Section 6., the license fee for wagon peddlers is 9x50.00. 32. The license fee for carnivals provided for in Ordinance No. 3.30 is � '100.00 per day. P 33. The license fee for a roller skating rink provided for in Ordinance No. 3.3h is 9�l00.00. 34. The license fee for fortune telling end similar activities, provided for in ordinance No. 3-35 is as follows: For one day, 410.00; for one week, $25.00; for one month., 4150.00; for one year, 4`300.00. 35. For each person registering or being registered as a peddler., transient merchant, dealer., hawker, solicitor or canvasser under the provisions of Ordin- ance No. 3.36, the fee for such registration is "3-00.
