AN ORDINANCE AA4ENDI~ THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE NO. 2.03 OF THE
VILLAGE OF RIC,HFIEIJ, MINNESOTA ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FOR
THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING HEALTH, SAFETY, ORDER, CONVENIENCE,
PROSPERITY AND G~ERAL WELFARE BY REGULATING THE USE OF LAND,
THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, 'II-~ ARRANGEbfENT OP BUILD-
INGS ON LOTS, AND THE DENSITi' OP POPULA TION IN THE VILLAGE OP
RICHFIELD, HFNNEPIN CO[TI`TTY, MINNESOTA" PASSED THF, 25TH DAY OF
OCTOBEF,, 1954, AS SUBSEQUENTLY AA4ENDED.
The Village Council of the Village of Richfield do ordain that
Ordinance No. 2.03 of the Village of Richfield, entitled "An Ordinance for
the Purpose of Promoting Health, Safety, Order, Convenience, Prosperity
and General Welfare by Regulating the Use of Land, the Location and Use of
Buildings, the Arrangement of Buildings on Lots, and the Density of Popula-
tion in the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesotat', passed October
25, 1954, as subsequently amended is hereby amended in the following respect:
Section 5, Subsection 4 thereof is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following paragraph, to wit

"That area lying between Penn and Queen Avenues and between
the south line of 74th Street and a line running parallel
with the south line of 74th Street, distant 252 feet south
thereof.
Adopted by the Village Council this 9th
day of February, 1959_.

field, in the County of He:~znepin, State of Minnesota, on T'h'ursday of

in the English language fram its office of pi,;blication within the Vil-
lage of Richfield, Hennepin County, i~~innesota, from which it is issued
as above stated and in newspaper format and in column a.nd sheet
farm equivalent in space to at least 459 running inches of single col-
umn, two inches wide; has been issued as aforesaid once each week
from a known office established in said place of publication and em-
ploying skilled workmen and the necessary material for preparing
and printing the same; that the press work on that part of the news-
paper devoted to local news of interest to the colr~munity it purports
to serve has been done in its known office of plz~blication; that during
all said time in its makeup not less than twenty-five percent of its
news columns 'have been devoted to local news of interest to the com-
munity it purports to serve; that during all said time it has not
wholly duplicated any other publication, and has not been entirely
made up of patents, plate matter and advertisements; has been cir-
culated in and near its said place of publication to the extent of at
least two hundred and forty (24a> copies regularly delivered to pay-
ing subscribers and has entry as second class matter in its local post-
office; that a copy of each issue has been filed with the State Hi'stori-
caI Society, St. Paul; and that there has 'been on file in the offica of the
County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota, the affidavit of a per-
son having knowledge of the facts, showing the name and location of
said newspaper and the existence of the conditions constituting its
qualifications as a legal newspaper.
