AN AA~NDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 3,271 OF THE VILLAGE OP RICHFIELD ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, INSTAT.I,ATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF SIGNS AND BILLBOARD: PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION AND
ENFORCEDiENT THEREOF, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES. FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF,"
PASSED THE 28TH DAY OF JULY, 1952.
The Village Council of the Village of Richfield do ordain as follows:
Ordinance No.. 3.271 entitled "An Ordinance to Regulate the Design,
Construction, Installation and Maintenance of Signs and Billboard; Providing for
the Administration and Enforcement Thereof, and Providing Penalties for the Vio-
lation Thereof", passed the 28th day of July, 1952 is hereby amended in the fol-
lowing respect:
Section 9 thereof is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 9. Approval of Location. Upon presentation of an applic2s-
tion for a sign, the Village Manager shall first pass upon the pro-
posed location of such sign.. If it shall clearly appear that the sign
would not violate the ordinances of the Village, or threaten the health,
safety, order, convenience or general welfare, he shall approve the same
and endorse his approval on said application The Village Manager may
submit any illuminated or lighted sign or any sign of unusual height,
size or design to the Villa ge Council for approval. The Village Council
may approve. any sign sub~itted to them for the proposed location by a
majority vote of all members of the Council.
No building permit shall he issued until such proposed location has:
been approved."
