AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THAT CFRTAIhT ORDINANCE NO. 2.03 OF RICHFIELD ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE F()R THE PURPGSE OP PROMOTING HEALTH, SAFETY, ORDER, CONVENIENCE, PROS-
. PERTTY AND GENERAL WELFARE BY REGUT.ATING THE USE OP LAND, THE LOCATION AND USE OF
BUILDINGS, THE ARRANGEMENT OF BUITDII~5 ON LOTS, AND THE DENSITY OF POFULATION IN
THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD, HENNEPIt? COiINTY, MINNESOTA" AS PASSED BX THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL THE 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1954, AS SUBSEQUENTLY AA4ENDED.
The Village Council of the Village of Richfield do ordain as follows:
That Ordinance No. 2.03 of the Village of Richfield entitled Convenience,
Prosperity and General !welfare by Regulating the Use of Buildings, the Arrangement
of Buildings on Lots, and the Density of Population in the Village of Richfield,
Hennepin county, Minnesota" as passed by the. Village Council on the 25th day of
October, 1954 as subsequently amended be and is hereby amended in the follcwing
respects:
(1) Section 5, Subsection 3 thereof is hereby amended by adding the follow-
ing paragraph, to wit:
"That area lying between the east line of. 18th Avenue extended and Cedar
Avenue and between the north line of 77th Street and a tine distant 300
feet north of and parallel to the north line of 77th Street."
(2) Section 5, Subsection 3 thereof is hereby amended by deleting the fol-
lowing paragraphs to wit:
''That area lying between the center lines of Columbus and Chicago Avenue
and between the center line of 66th Street and the south line of Lots 3
and 14, Oksta.d Addition."
"'That area lying between the center lines of Chicago and Elliot Avenues
and between the center line of 66th Street and the south line of Lots 4
and 15, Block 3, Terrace Gardens Addition."
"That area lying between the c enter lines of Elliot and Cedar Avenues and
between the center line of, 66th Street and a line 250 feet southerly and
parallel thereto."
(3) Section 5, Subsection. 3 thereof is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following paragraph, to wit:
"That area lying between the west line of 11th Avenue and the center line of
Cedar Avenue, and between the center line of 66th Street and a line 250
feet south of and parallel thereto."
(4) Section 5, Subsection 4 thereof is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following paragraph, to wit:
"That area lying between the center line of Columbus Avenue and the west line
of 11th Avenue and between the center line of 66th Street and a line 250 feet
south of a parallel thereto."

Robert A. Biroad, L. R. Farrington, Guy T. Farrington,being duly
sworn, on oath says; that he is, and during all the times herein stated
hasbeen, oa~e of the puiblishers of the newspaper. known as The
Richfield News, and has full knowledge of fhe facts hereinafter
stated; that for mare than 'one year prior to the publica~tio~n therein

field, in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, on Thursday of
each week; that during all said time said newspaper has been printed
in the English language from its office ofpublication within the Vil-
lage of Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesota, from which it is issued
as above stated and in newspaper format and in column and sheet
form equivalent in space to at least 450 running inches of single col-
umn, two inches wide; has been issued as ,aforesaid once each week
from a known office established in said place of publication and em-
ploying skilled workmen, sand the necessary material for preparing
and printing the same; that the press work on that ,part of the news-
pap~er devoted to local news of interest bo the cammunity it purports
to serve has been done in its known office of publication; that during
all said time in its makeup not less than twenty 'five percent of its
news columns have been devoted to local news of interest .to the aom-
muhity it purports to serve; that during all said time it has not
wholly dwplicated any other publication, and has not been entirely
made up of patents, plate matter sand advertisements; has lbeen ~cir-
culated in and neaS its said place of pu'blicati~on to the extent of at
least two hundred and forty (2400 ~capies relgularly delivered to pay-
ing subscribers and has entry as second class matter in its local post-
office; that a copy of each issue has been filed with the State Histori-
cal Society, St. Paul; and that there has ibeen on file in the ~officei iaf the
County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota, the affidavit of a per-
son having knowled-ge of the facts, showing the name and location of
said newspaper and the existence of the conditions constituting its
qualifications as a legal newspaper.
