AN ORDINANCE AA4ENDING 'II-IAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE NO. 2.03 OF THE VILLAGE
OF RICHFIELD,. MINNESOTA ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROh10TING HEALTH,. SAFETY, ORDER, CONVF.I~TIENCE, PROSPERITY AND GENERAL
WELFARE BY REGUTA TING THE USE OF LAND, THE LC3CATION AND USE OF BUILll-
INGS, THE ARRANGEMENT OF BUILDINGS ON LO ZS, AND THE DENSITY Or POPU-
LATION IN THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA" PASSED
THE 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1954, AS 5LTBSEQUENTLY Ah~NDED.
The Village Council of the Village of Richfield do ordain that
Ordinance No. 2.03 of the Village of Richfield, entitled "An Ordinance
for the Purpose of Promoting Health, Safety, Order, Convenience, Pros-
perity and General Welfare, by Regulating the Use of Land, the Location
and Use of Buildings, the Arrangement of Buildings on Lots, and the
Density of population in the Village of Richfield,. Hennepin County,
Minnesota", passed October 25, 1954, as subsequently amended is hereby
amended in the following respects:
Section 5, Subsection ?, thereof is hereby amended by deleting the
following paragraphs, to-wit:
"The south one-half of the area between 72nd and 73rd Streets
and between Portland Avenue and the centerline of the alley
in Block 2, Blair's ~'Vooddaie 3rd Addition extended".
"The South 75 feet of the east one--half of the east one-half
of the north one-half of the Northeast gixarter of the South-
east quarter of the Northeast quarter, Section 34, Township
28, Range 24."
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield this 14th

sworn, on oath says; tltlat he is, and during all the times herein stated
has been, ozle of the pwblishers of the newspaper known as The
Richfield News, and has full knowledge of the facts hereinafter
stated; that for more than gone year prior to the publication therein

hereto attached, said newspaper was published in the Village of Rich-
field, in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota, on Thursday of
each week; that during all said time said newspaper has been printed
in the English language from its office ofpublication within the Vil-
lage of Richfield, Hennepin ~Cbunty, Minnesota, from which it is issued
as above stated and in newspaper format and in ,column and sheet
form equivalent in space to at least 450 running inches of single col-
umn, two inches wide; has ibeen issued as aforesaid once each week
from a known office established in said place of publication and em-
ploying skilled workmen and the necessary material for preparing
and printing the same; that the press work an that paxt of the news-
pa~per devoted to local news of interest to the community it purports
to serve has been done in its known office of publication; that during
all said time in its makeup not less than twenty=five percent of its
news columns have been devoted to local news of interest .to the com-
munity it purports to serve; that during all said time it has not
wholly dwplicated any other publication, and has not been entirely
made wp of patents, plate matter sand advertisements; has been cir-
culated in and neair its said place of publication to the extent of at
least two hiundred and forty (2400 copies relgularly dtlivered to paiy-
ing subscribers and has entry as second class matter in its local post-
office; that a copy of each issue hasbeen filed with the State His~~tari-
cal Society, St. Paul; and that there has bbeen on file in the ~afficei raf the
County Auditor of Hennepin Gounty, Minnesota, the affidavit of a per-
son having knowledge of the facts, showing the name and location of
said newspaper and the existence of the conditions constituting its
gwalifications as a legal newspaper.
