1960-19L'i12 No. 1960--19 Ah1ENDD~ENT Tfl Or'. ~~INANCE No 0 12 o O1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE No. 12oO1 OF THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELDg LI~ITITLED rrAN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH A ;~O5ITI©N®CLASSIFICATION PLANS A COh~iENSA~ TION I~LANe A A~IERIT SYSTEM AND A BASIC PE~tSONNEL POLICY FOR THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELDe riINNESOTAre AS PASSED FEBRUARY 26, 1951 AS SUBSEQUENTLY E~hiENDEDo The Council of the Village of Richfield No. 12.01 of this Village entitled rrAn Ordin, Position_Classification Plan9 a Compensation and a Basic Personnel Policy for the Village as passed the 26th day of Februarys 19518 as hereby amended in the following respects4 does ordaino Ordinance ~.nce to Establish a Plans a Merit System of l~ichfields Aiinnesota~~9 subsequently amended9 is (1) Section 169 paragraph B thereofs is hereby amended t.o read as followsa rrB, When Takeno Vacation leave may be used as earneds provided that the Village Aianager shall approve the time at which the vacation leave may be takeno No employee shall be allowed to take vacation leave until after the completion of one f u11 year of employment o rr (2) Section 32 thereof is hereby amended to read as .follows: rrSECTION 32o RETIIt,E~fENT o Except as otherwise provided by law it is compulsory that employees covered by this ordinance shall be retired when they attain the age of 70 yearse Any employee who has reached the age of 65 years shall be retired if a medical examination of such employee discloses that the employeesr ability to perform the duties of his position has been im~ pared by reason of any physical illness or deficiencyo Any employee retained in the municipal service beyond the age of 65 yearse reinstated or appointed from a re~employm ment list after said ages shall be required to submit a satisfactory report of medical examination by a physicians approved or designated by the Tianagere which shows the employee to be physically and mentally able to perform the duties of his positiono No deferral of retirement after age 65 shall be for a period in excess of one year but deferral may be continued on a year to year basis subject to the same conditions governing the grant of an initial.. deferral of retirement o Upon prior written notice to the employees the Rianager may cancel a deferral of retirement ~_ r ~' . ~ .
