AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 5, SUBSECTION 3 ANA 4 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF RICHFIELD ENTITLED; "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PRO1~fOTIIv'G HEALTH, SAFETY, ORDER, CONVENIENCE, PROSPERITY, AND GENERAL
WELFARE BY REGULATING THE USE OF LAND, TIC LOCATION AND USE OF BUILD-
ING5, THE ARRAnGEMElv"T OF BUILDINGS ON LOTS AND THE DENS ITY OF POPULA-
TION IN THE VI LIAGE OF RI CHF IELD, HENNEPIN COUNTY , MINNESOTA"' PASSED
THE 25TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1954, AS SUBSEQUENTLY AMENDED.
CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
The zoning ordinance of the City of Richfield en titled °'An Ordinance for the Pur-
pose of Promoting Health, Safety, Order, Convenience, Prosperity and General Welfare by
Regulating the Use of Land, the Location and Use of Buildings, the Arrangement of Build-
ings on Lots and the Density of Population in the Village of Richf field, Hennepin County,
Minnesota", passed the 25th day of October, 1954, is hereby amended in the following re-
spects ::

1. Section 5, Subsection 3 thereof, entitled "General Commercial
District" is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the follow-
ing paragraphs to-wit t
/That area lying between the center lines of Sheridan
and Penn Avenue and between the center lines of 76th
a and 77th Street, except the north 258' of the west
170' thereof ,/
/That area lying between the center lines of 77th and
78th Street and between the center lines of Thomas and
Garfield Avenue .l
2. Section 5, Subsection 3 thereof, entitled "General Commercial
District" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following
paragraphs, to-wit :~
"That area lying between the_center lines of 77th and 78th
Street and between the center lines of Garfield Avenue and
Interstate Highway 35W."
"That area lying between the center lines of 77th and 78th
Street and between the center lines of Knox and Penn Avenue."

Avenue within 200' of the north right of way line of Inter-
state Highway 494."
3. Section 5, Subsection 4 thereof, entitled "D4ultiple Residence" is
hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraphs, to-wit:
"That area lying between Penn Avenue and Thomas Avenue and
between 77th Street and Interstate Highway 494, except that
area lying between the west line of Penn Avenue and a line
200' west of and parallel to the west line of Penn Avenue
within 200' of the north right-of -way line of Interstate
"That area lying between the center lines of Sheridan and
Penn Avenue and between the center lines of 76th and 77th
Street except the north 258' of the west 170' thereof."
