1966-18Bill No. 1966-18 ORDII~TANCE No. 9.08 AN ORDII~TANCE REGULATING THE SALE AND POSSESSION OF CODEINE CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The sale and possession of codeine shall be regulated as set out in this ordinance. Section 2. No person shall administer, dispense, sell, barter, exchange or offer for sale, give away, distribute, deliver, supply or in any manner provide codeine or any of its salts to the person to whom or for whose use such preparation is administered, dispensed, sold, bartered, exchanged or offered for sale, except pursuant to a lawful prescription issued by a practitioner duly licensed under the laws of the State of Minnesota. Section 3. No person shall purchase or have in his possession codeine or any of its salts, except pursuant to a lawful prescription issued by a practitioner duly licensed under the laws of the State of Minnesota. Section ~.. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not to exceed 90 days.
