AMENDMENT TO SECTION 6.06 SUBDIVISION 4
OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF
RICHFIELD
CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
The first paragraph of Subdivision 4 of Section 6.06 of the ordinance
code of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, relating to precollection practices
in the handling of garbage and refuse, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"CSubd. 4. Precollection Practices.
Grass clippings, leaves and other similar refuse shall be placed in bags or
bundles not exceeding three (3) feet in any dimension and securely fastened to
avoid spillage. Household appliances and furniture falling within the definition
of refuse need not be so packaged, All refuse deposited for pickup shall be placed
next to the property line unless the licensed private garbage and refuse collec-
tor agrees to pick up such refuse from some other location on the premises. Refuse
shall be deposited at one place, at ground level, on each property. Refuse and
garbage shall not be deposited on the traveled roadway of any street or alley.
Refuse and garbage shall not be deposited next to streets or alleys for collec-
tion prior to 6:00 o'clock p.m. on the day preceding the day of collection, and
containers and any garbage or refuse which is not picked up shall be removed
from any such location on the day of collection.]
Subd. 4. Precollection Practices.

barrels and mesh backyard burners falling within the definition of refuse need
not be so packaged, Unless the licensed garbage and refuse collector agrees to
.pick up such refuse from some other location on the remises it may be de osited
for pickup adjacent to the street or alley from which the pickup is to be made.
Refuse deposited adjacent to a street or alley for pickup shall be deposited
off the traveled roadway, in one place, at ground level, and shall be in dis-
posable containers, where containers are needed. No refuse shall be de osited
next to the traveled roadway of any street or alley before sunset of the day
before the day of collection. A11 refuse, refuse bags, wrap ings, cans and
other containers so deposited shall be picked u by the licensed garbage and refuse
hauler, so that after pickup no such items are left adjacent to the street or
alley. If any such items are not picked u on the day of collection the shall
be removed from their location next to the street or alley on the da of collection.
Refuse in garbage cans or similar re-usable containers, and garbage how-
ever packaged, shall not be deposited for pickup in the front yard of any
residential dwelling unit nor in the sideyard of any corner lot next to the side
street. After pickup re-usable garbage and refuse cans and containers shall bs
returned by the collector to the place where they were located before picku err
