AMENDMENT' TO SECTIONS 2.33 and 2.34 OF TILE
ORDINANCE CODE OF TIIE CITY OF LICHFIELD
CZTY OF LICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
Section 2.33, Subdivision 16 of the ordinance code of the City of Lichfield,
Minnesota, relating to longevity pay for city employees, is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"Subd. 16. Amount of Payment. Eligible employees, other than
police and_fre personnel, shall receive a longevity payment of 1J
based on their 1967 maximum monthly salary upon completion of five
years of service. .Effective January 1, 1970 police and fire personnel
shall receive a longevity payment of 1% after completion of five years
of service, increasing to 2% after completion of 10 years of service,
based upon the employee's current monthly salary. Longevity increments
shall be paid in addition to regular compensation and may be incorporated
with the regular pay checks."'
Section 2.33, Subdivision 17, p. (3) of the ordinance code of the City of
Lichfield, relating to overtime pay and compensatory time off for fire employees,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(3) Fire Employees. A11 employees, except those describ-ed
in the paragraph on administrative employees, shall be compensated in
cash on a straight time basis (bi-weekly rate - [122.8] 118.2
hours = regular hourly rate) for work performed in excess of their
regular work schedule."
Section 2.34, Subdivision 3, p. (2) (e), relating to vacation leave for fire
personnel, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(e) Fire Personnel Working as Shift Employees. The annual
accrual of twelve working days of vacation leave with pay shall be
construed t®-mean one hundred forty-four hours of duty-shift time
f.or personnel working on a shift basis of an average of [61.4 59.1
hours per week; fifteen working days of vacation leave shall be con-
strued to mean one hundred ninety-two hours of duty-shift time;
eighteen working days shall be construed to mean two hundred sixteen
hours of duty-shift time; and twenty working days shall be construed
to mean two hundred sixty--four hov:rs of--duty-ahf_-t -time; t° _-

is distributed at least once each week. (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted
to news of local interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly
duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports
to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of
at least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears
and has entry as second-class matter in its local post-office. (5) Said newspaper purports to
serve the City of Richfield in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of
issue in the City of Bloomington. in said county, established and open during its regular business
hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and main-
tained by the managing officer or persons in its employ and subject to his direction and con-
trol during all such regular business hours and devoted exclusively during such regular
business hours to the business of the newspaper and business related thereto. (6) Said news-
aper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said news-
y has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day
dates of publication mentioned below. (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of
