AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CENTRAL GARAGE AND EQUIPMENT FUND
CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared that it is necessary
and expedient to create, and there is hereby created a Central Garage and Equipment
Fund of the city, to be held and administered by the finance director separate and
mart from the other funds of the city.
Section 2. Said fund shall be a permanent fund of the city. The moneys in
such fund shall consist of funds transferred thereto by the city counci from t e
eg neral fund, surpluses in bond sinking funds after the obligations of such funds
have been fully met or funded, the special revenue fund, rental charges for the
use by~city departments of e ui~ment purchased from the proceeds of such fund, and
the proceeds of bonds issued for the purchase of equipment of the city.
Section 3. Equipment to be purchased from the proceeds of such fund shall be
designated by resolution of the city council. Rental charges, aginst city depart-
ments and projects, for the use of the equipment purchased from such fund, mad be
made against such. departments and rojects. Such rental charges may include charges
for depreciation, operation and maintenance_of such equipment, on a pro rata use
basis.

Section 5 _Sums accumulated in such fund from such rental charges shall be
used solely for the replacement of equipment of the city, and payment of the expenses
of maintenance and operation of such equipment, the garage maintenance facility and
operating the fund.
Section 6. The transactions of such fund shall be accounted for separately
and distinctly from every other fund of the city, in":..accordance with generally
accepted standards for municipal accounting.
Section 7 This ordinance shall be added to Appendix A of the ordinance code
of the city pursuant to the provisions of Chapter IZ Section 1.03 of the ordinance
code.
