1968-17Bi11 No, 1968-17 AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER V, PART III, SECTION 5.31, SUBDIVISIONS 2, 3, 6 and 7 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF RICHFIELD, MINNESOTA. CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN: Chapter V, Part III, Section 5.31, Subdivisions 2, 3, 6 and 7 of the ordi- nance code of the City of Richfield, Minnesota is hereby amended to read as follows: "Subd. 2. SCOPE OF THIS SECTION. This section is not applicable to regular employees of owners .or lessees of the premises served unless such regular emplo~ee_has procured a license issued b~ the state as required by Minnesota Statutes, Sections 326.331 to 326.339. /nor/ _Th.e section is also not applicable to any federal, state, county or municipal peace officers acting in the discharge of their official duties. "Subd. 3. REGISTRATION OF STATE LICENSES. No person shall./engage in the business of private guard or watchman/ act as a private detective or protective agent within the city for a fee or reward without first re- gistering with the clerk and filing proof of his possession of a valid and current state license issued pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 326.331 to 326.339. "Subd. 6. EMPLOYEES OF REGISTRANT. No person shall be employed by a registrant in the capacity of private detective or protective agent until he has executed under oath and furnished a statement to be filed with the clerk setting forth. the following information: (1) His full name, age and residence; (2) His business or occupation for the last three years; (3) Location of such business or occupation and name of employer; (4) Informati on pertaining to any felony conviction in his personal history which would disqualify him from holding a license under Minnesota Statutes Section 326.331. (5) Such further information that the clerk may require. "Subd. 7. POLICE AUTHORITY FOR /LICENSEE/ REGISTRANT. No /licensee/ registrant shall by reason of his /license/ compliance with this section be empowered to act as a municipal peace officer. Any /licensee/ registrant who represents himself to be a municipal peace officer by virtue of his /license/ compliance hereunder violates this section by such representation. (7) Said news- has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day tes of publication mentioned below.
