1971-14Bi11 No. 1971-14 AMENDMENT TO SECTION 12.23, SUBDIVISION 4 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF RICHFIELD CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN: Section 12.x; subdivision 4 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, establishing the composition of the Human Rights Commission is hereby amended to read as follows: "Subd. 4. Composition of the Commission. The commission shall consist of [9~ 10 members to be appointed by the Council. Members of the commission shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years, except that any person appointed to fill a vacancy occuring prior to the expiration of the term for which his predecessor was appointed shall be appointed only for the remainder of such term. Upon the expiration of his term of office a member shall continue to serve until his successor is appointed and shall have qualified. ~Tbe first commission shall consist of three members appointed for a term of three years, three members appointed for a term of two years, and three members for a term of one year.) The members of the commission shall serve without compensation and may be removed from office at any time by the council, after a public bearing if a hearing is requested by the member whose removal is being considered."
