AMENDMENT TO APPENDIX B
OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE
CITY OF RICHFIELD
THE CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Subsection 511.13 of Appendix B to the .Richfield City Code is
amended by adding the following new subdivision:
Subd. 5. Enlaraement of buildina with nonconforming setback. A legal)
nonconforming single or two family dwelling or garage which existed on or before June
1, 1995, which is occupied b rya conforming use, and which does not meet current
setback requirements can be expanded up to 100 percent of the floor area of the
existing structure, as long as the following conditions are met:
a) the expansion does not extend anv farther into the required setback than
the existing structure;
b) the existing structure does not infringe on the setback more than 50
percent of the required setback distance; and
c) the expansion meets all other applicable City Code requirements.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 8th day of
June, 1998.
