AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12.01
OF THE RICHFIELD ORDINANCE CODE TO
PROVIDE FOR THE DISPOSITION OF LOST
PROPERTY COMING INTO THE POSSESSION OF THE CITY

CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN:
Section. 12.01 of the Richfield Ordinance Code is amended by
adding the following:
Subd. 7. Lost Property. The provisions of subdivisions
1 through of this section shall not apply to any item
which is surrendered to tre city as lost property. Any
such item shall be retained by the city fora period o

request at any time during that period. After three
months, if the item has riot been returned to its owner,
the inder may upon a proper request Hake a claim for
return of the property upon tre expiration of the retention
period. The city council may require as a precondition of
return of the property to its inder or owner that sucr

connection with its efforts to identify and locate the

become the property of the city and may be disposed of as
