1985-06 Bi 11 ^!o. 1985- A~SENDMENT TO CHAPTER IV, SECTION 4.04 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF RICHFIELD CITY OF RICHFIELD DOES ORDAIN: Chapter IV, Section 4.04 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Richfield entitled "Construction of Driveways, Sidewalks, Curb and Gutter" is hereby amended by amendir_g subdivision $ thereof to read as follows: Subd. $. Driveways - Saecial Regulations. The following regulations shall be observed in the construction of driveways: 1 (1) No driveway from private property serving a single family dwelling or two family dwelling er.terir.g a public street may exceed 20 feet ir. width. Upor. a showing of: necessity and public convenience, the city manager may authorize a greater width. (2) No driveway frcm private Drooerty serving a commercial, multi-family or industrial use er_tering a public street may be less t'nan 2 feet r.or more than ~2 feet ir. width. Upon a snowing o~~ necessity ar.a public cor_venience, the city manager may authorize a greater or lesser width. -Fc3 (3) Where a driveway is constructed over a public sidewalk, that portion of the driveway withir. the public street shall be paved with concrete in accordance Faith city specifications for sidewalk construction. f,-s} (4) Where an existing curb is cut for driveway cor.struction,~the curb shall be returned to the sidewalk lire in accordance with city specifications for curb construction. (5) All driveways on private property within the city serving a commerical, multi-family, or industrial use shall be surfaced with either concrete or bituminous concrete.
