AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER XI,
SECTION 11.06 OF THE
RICHFIELD ORDINANCE CODE
City of Richfield Does Ordain:
Chapter XI, Section 11.06 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Richfield
dealing with the licensing and regulating of the "on-sale" sale of intoxicating
liquor is amended in the following respects:
A. By amending paragraph (3) of Subdivision 1 to read as follows:
"(3) The term 'restaurant' means an establishment under the control
of a single proprietor or manager, having appropriate facilities to
serve meals in one or more dining rooms having a total area of at
least ~;~98 4,000 square feet, and where in consideration of payment
thereof, meals are regularly served at tables to the general public,
and which employs an adequate staff for the usual and suitable service
to its guests and the principal part of the business of which is the
serving of foods. The area to be used in computing such ~;~99 4,000
square foot minimum shall be the gross floor area of the restaurant
including areas for the preparation and serving of food and liquor.
Basement areas, however, shall not be counted for the purpose of
meeting such 3;AAA 4,000 square foot minimum requirement."
B. By amending paragraphs (4) and (5) of Subdivision 11 to read as follows:
"(4) No 'on-sale' license shall be granted for a restaurant which
does not comply in all respects with the definition of a restaurant
as contained in Subdivision 1 of this section, nor to any restaurant
which does not have a total market value, including land, building

(5) No 'on-sale' license shall be granted for a hotel which does
not comply in all respects with the definition of a hotel as contained
in Subdivision 1 of this section, nor to any hotel which does not have
a total market value, including land, building and equipment, of at

class matter in its local post-office (5) Said newspaper purports to serve the City of Richfield in t
County of Hennepin, and it has its known office of issue in the City of Bloomington in said count
established and open during its regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisemer
and sale of subscriptions and maintained by the managing officer of said newspaper or persons in
employ and subject to his direction and control during all. such regular business hours and devob
exclusively during such regular business hours and at which said newspaper is printed. (6) Sa
newspaper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said newspap
is made available at single or subscription prices to any person, corporation, partnership or oth
unincorporated association requesting the newspaper and making the applicable payment. (8) Sa
newspaper has complied with all foregoing conditions for at least one year preceding the day or dates
publication mentioned below. (9) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prime.
