RESOLUTION NO. 5890
RESOLUTION REGARDING POSSIBLE SALE OF HENNEPIN
COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners is considering
a proposal to sell the Hennepin County juvenile Detention Center, and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has not completed a feasibility study to
determine either present or future needs for county juvenile detention fac-
ilities , and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has no cost estimate nor financial plan for
relocating the juvenile detention center.
~- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Richfield does request the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners to
undertake a comprehensive feasibility study to determine the county's present
and future needs for juvenile detention facilities before taking any action to
dispose of the present facility and
- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby requested to convey
` this resolution to the Chairman and members of the Hennepin County Board
of Commissioners.
