RESOLUTION`PROVIDING FOR ENROLLMENT OF-.COUNCIL MEMBERS IN
EMPLOYEES'"HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield does. provide several health
insurance options for city employees, and
WHEREAS, the scope of coverage and costs of .these health insurance
plans is significantly better than comparable health insurance available to
an individual, and
WHEREAS, for many purposes, the mayor and members of the city
council are considered to be city. employees.
NOW,'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield that the mayor and members of the city council shall be considered
_ to be city employees for purposes of qualifying for enrollment in the health
insurance plans offered to other city employees, and
BE IT FURTHER STATED that any mayor or council member who so chooses
to enroll in a health insurance. plan provided by the City of Richfield shall
pay all premium costs. associated with enrolling in such a plan for himself
and any dependents.
