RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1979/84 CAPITAL IMP~20VELtiIENTS
PROGRAM AND THE 1979 CAPITAL IMPROVEi~1ENT.BUDGET "
WHEREAS, a proposed capital improvement program for the periods
of 1979/84 and proposed capital improvements budget for 1979 has
been prepared and submitted for review to the planning comTnission_
.and the city council in accordance with charter requirements, and
WHEREAS., the city council has received the recommendations. and
benefit of review of these proposed documents by the planning com-
mission and has itself reviewed. these proposals-;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 1979./84 Capital improvement
Program is hereby approved and adopted subject to annual review and
revision and with the further understanding that the city staff and
Park and Recreation Advisory Coamission will provide additional nfor-
mation concerning the possibility of an earlier construction time for
the proposed elevator at the Community Center., and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the the 1979 Capital Improvement Budget
in the sum total of $2,634,500 is hereby approved subject to the conditions
in the pregeding paragraph. and adopted with full recognition of the fact
.that the cost estimates are approximate and are subject to final cost
estimates and that all awards of contracts for these projects are subject
to necessary hearings and must be approved by the city council in accor-
dance with established laws and practices governing such action, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city manager is hereby authorized
and directed to initiate the procedures which will lead to more formal
.and detailed consideration of these projects in accordance with the
aforementioned laws and practices.
