RESOLUTION REQUESTING INSTALLATION
OF A GUARD RAIL-ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
THE CROSSTOWN HIGHWAY IN THE VICINITY
OF 11TH, 12TH, AND 13TH AVENUES IN RICHFIELD
WHEREAS., the Richfield City Council is responsible-for
',,,taking necessary precautions. to protect the safety of Richfield
residents, and
WHEREAS,. several accidents on the Crosstown High:•.ay in
.the vicinity of 11th through 13th Avenue. have threatened the
safety of Richfield citizens living adjacent to the Crosstown
.:Highway , . and
WHEREAS, the subject portion-of the Crosstown Highway has
no guard rail adjacent to the .roadway,. and -
WHEREAS, erection of a guard rail on the Crosstown
- Highway is the responsibility of Hennepin. County..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE LT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Richfield that. the City of Richfield does request
the Hennepin Coun y Board to authorize immediate installation of
a guard rail along the south side of the Crosstown Highway in the
vicinity of 11th, 1 2th, .and.. 13th Avenues in Richfield.
