RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT TO SEEFERT'S HUDSON ROAD NURSERY
FOR LAWNS AND PLANTINGS FOR THE CHRISTIAN PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CLTY PROJECT N0. 719.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, as
follows:
1. That it is hereby determined that the bid of Seefert's Hudson Road Nursery
is the lowest bid, including base bid and selected alternates to provide for
additional tree plantings, additional sod, and one year maintenance. of all
plant materials for the guarantee period, by a responsible bidder meeting
specifications for lawns and plantings at Christian Park.
2. That the bid of Seefert's Hudson Road Nursery, at the price contained in
their proposal of April 5, 1978, with an estimated construction cost of
$51,778 is :hereby accepted.
3. That the proposed contract between Seefert's Hudson Road Nursery and the
City of Richfield is hereby approved .and adopted and the Mayor and Manager are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said contract for or on behalf of
the City of Richfield and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to affix
the city seal. thereto.
That payments to be made undew the terms of said contract shall be charged
against the Project Fund.
5. That the Corporate Surety Bond in the sum of the estimated contract price
which accompanies said proposed contract is hereby accepted and approved.
6. That the City Clerk is .authorized anc~ directed to return the security
documents to the unsuccessful bidders upon execution of said proposed contract.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, this 10th day
of April, 1978.
