RESOLUTION APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLAI~tS, APPROVAL FINAL PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS, ORDERING PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR
BIDS FOR MINOR IMPROVEMENTS AT NICOLLET-PARK
CITY PROJECT NO. 735

WHEREAS, the city council approved the 1979/84 Capital.
Improvement Program on December 2.6,.1978, and
WHEREAS, the city council did appropriate $25,000 from the
Revenue Sharing Fund for minor improvements at Nicollet Park, and
WHEREAS, the city council approved an architectural agree-
ment with James Robin for services related to the minor improve-
ments at Nicollet Park, and
WHEREAS, the Nicollet Park. neighborhood was invited to
attend meetings to determine the direction of-the minor improve-
merits at Nicollet Park, and
WHEREAS, the concensus of the neighborhood, the Park and
Recreation. Advisory Commission, the architect and the city staff
has been .reached regarding the preliminary concept or master
plan for Nicollet Park, and.
.WHEREAS, concensus has. also been reached regarding construction
of a tot lot at Nicollet Park in 1.979, and
WHEREAS, the preliminary or master plan and the final plans..
and specifications for a tot lot at Nicollet .Park. have been
prepared-and presented to the city council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Richfield., Minnesota, as .follows:
1. That the preliminary concept or master plan fora
Nicollet Park is hereby approved;
2. That final plans and specifications for a tot lot
at Nicollet Park are hereby approved;
3. That City Project No. 735 in the amount of $25,000
for minor improvements at Nicollet Park is hereby
ordered;
4. That the city staff is hereby authorized .and directed
to call for bids on said improvements as required. by law.
