RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO
SPECIALLY ASSESS FOR THE
COSTS -0F CURRENT SERVICES
PROVIDED WITHIN THE
LYNDALE/HUB/NICOLLET
PROJECT AF.EA
BE IT RESOLVED~by the City CoL~ncil of the City of
Richfield as follows:
1. The Lyndale/Hub/Nicollet Development Project.
Area (the "District") is hereby established as a special
assessment district forthe purposes of assessing. for
current services provided by the city.
2. The following current services of the city are
hereby proposed to be undertaken by-the city in the
District with the cost o~f such services to be specially
assessed against benefited property within the District:
Snow, ice, or rubbish removal from sidewalks;
Weed elimination from streets or private property;'
Removal or elimination of public health or safety
hazards from private property, excluding any
structure included under the provisions of
1~linnesota Statutes, Sections 463.15 to 463.26;
Installation or repair of water service lines;
Street sprinkling or other dust treatment of
streets;
The trimming and care of trees and the removal of
unsound trees from any street;
The treatment and removal of insect infested or
diseased trees on private property;
The repair of sidewalks and alleys;
The operation. of a street lighting system;
The maintenance of landscaped areas and other
public amenities on or adjacent to street rights-
of-way;

commercial redevelopment areas.
3. The area proposed to be specially assessed nor such
current services consists of every assessable lot and parcel of {
land within the District) It is proposed that special assess-
ments on commercial property be made on the basis of area with
each square foot of assessable commercial property within the. __
District being assessed in an equal amount.
4. The City Clerk is authprized and directed to publish
notice of a hearing by this council at which the council will
consider-.the undertakingjof such current services and the levying
of special assessments to bear the casts thereof. Such notice
shall be published in the official newspaper at least once,`at
least two weeks prior tol,the date o.f hearing. Such hearing
shall be held on Monday,', January 12, 1981, commencing at 7:00
o'clock P.NI. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be react^ed
on the agenda.
5. It is hereby proposed that the project consist of the
costs of the aforementioned services for the period from
t January 1, 1981, through~I,June 30, 1981.` The estimated cost of
providing all of the aforementioned current services during that
period is $
