RESOLUTION APPROVING THE WEEK OF
JANE Z1 THROUGH JUNF. 2b, 2981 TO BE
PUBLIC HEALTH/C0~'~4UNITY HEALTH NURSE WEEK
WHEREAS, the City Council of .the City of Richfield is the official
governing body of the City of Richfield and functions as the official Board
of Health of the City of Richfield; and
{VHEREAS, the City Council is committed to promote, support, and maintain
the health of the entire community on the highest level; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Board of Health of the City of Richfield advises.,
consults with, and makes recommendations to the board of health on matters
relating to the development, maintenance, funding and evaluation of community
health services;
WHEREAS, the Advisory Board of Health has recommended to the City Council
approval of the. week of June 21 through June 2b, 1981 to be Public Health/
Community Health Nurse Week as proclaimed by Albert Quie, Governor of the
State of Minnesota on the sixth day of ~~tay, 1981; anti.
{a{-[EREAS, the City Council finds the Richfield Advisory Board of Health's
recommendation and Governor Quie's proclamation consistent with community
health and that it recognizes the many contributions made by public health/
community health nurses to the_people of Richfield in that they have promoted
the. highest level of wellness, independence, and self care passible; that
services to the sick and disabled are provided in a manner that assists many
to convalesce quickly, others to regain higher functioning levels and some
to die with dignity and comfort in their own homes; that these nurses have
shown competence in the prevention of disease and promotion of health;
NO{V THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield
that the week of June Z1 through June 26, 1981 to be
PUBLIC {IEALTH / COA'LMUNITY HEALTH NURSE WEEK
in Richfield.
