E X E C UT IV E S UM M ARY: The City Primary Elec tion was conduc ted on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in conjunction with the State Primary Election. The City Primary Elec tion included contests for the office of Counc il Member W ard Two. The "unoffic ial" results of the elec tion are attached and any relevant updates will be provided at the City Council meeting. The Ric hfield C ity Charter states that the Counc il shall meet and c anvass the election returns at the next regular or Spec ial C ounc il meeting immediately following any regular, primary or spec ial election, but in no event later than the time prescribed by State law, and must make full declaration of the results as soon as possible, and file a statement thereof with the C ity Clerk.
