Council-Staff Planning Retreat Update

Staff recommended that an expanded strategic planning process be deferred to 2021 and instead schedule a
2020 goal setting session. Lisa Sorensen from Sorensen Consulting will be leading a Council-Staff Planning
Retreat on May 20 at 4:00 p.m. and will be speaking to the the council about the approach and schedule
during this work session.

Communications and Community Engagement Manager Neil Ruhland will present the response to the
C O V ID-19 community impact survey.
E X E C UT IV E S UM M ARY:
City staff distributed a C OV I D-19 impact survey to the community in April to help the City to better plan and
respond to the novel coronavirus. The survey was provided in both English and Spanish. W e received 736
responses. The data from the survey will guide policy and procedure decisions as we navigate our response
to this ever-changing situation.
