RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
BOUNDARIES OF ELECTION PRECINCTS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield as follows:
1. The boundaries of the election precincts, and polling places for such election
precincts, within the city are hereby established to be as follows:
Precinct 1. That area of the city lying between Portland and Cedar Avenues,
north of 68th Street, and east of Cedar Avenue, from 62nd Street South..
Polling Place; Mt. Calvary Church Educational Building
.Precinct 2A. That area of the city lying between Interstate Highway 35W
and Portland Avenue and also lying north of 68th Street extended.
Polling Place: St. Petsr's Catholic Church
Precinct 3A. That area of the city lying west of Interstate Highway 35W and
north of 67th Street.
Polling Place: Sheridan School

Precinct 4A. That area of the city lying west of Interstate Highway 35W
between 67th Street and the following described Line: Beginning at the. intersection
of Xerxes Avenue and 71 1/2 Street; thence east on 71 1/2 .Street to Washburn Avenue;
thence south on Washburn Avenue to 72nd Street; thence east on 72nd Street to Russell.
Avenue; thence south on Russell Avenue to 73rd Street; thence east on 73rd Street
to Interstate Highway 35W.
Polling Place: Lincoln Hills School/St. Richard's Catholic Church
Precinct SB. That area of the city lying west of Interstate Highway 35W
and south of the following described line: Beginning at the intersection or Xerxes
Avenue and 71 1/2 Street; thence east on 71 1/2 Street to Washburn Avenue; thence
south on Washburn Avenue to 72nd Street; thence east on 72nd Street to Russell
Avenue; thence south on Russell Avenue to 73rd Street; thence east on 73rd Street
to Interstate Highway 35W.
Polling Place:
West Middle School
Precinct 6B. That area of the city lying between Interstate Highway 35W and
2nd Avenue, south of 73rd Street.
Polling Place: Central School
Precinct 7A.-That area of the city lying between Interstate Highway 35W
and Portland Avenue and lying south of 68th Street extended, except the following:

of 73rd Street.

Precinct 8A. That area lying between Portland Avenue and 12th Avenue and
lying south of 68th Street.

Precinct 9A. That area of the city lying between 12th and Cedar Avenues and
south of 68th Street..
Polling Place: Centennial
2. The foregoing precinct boundaries shall be effective on June 1, 1982. Sixty
(60) days notice of the effective date of the foregoing precinct boundaries shall
be posted in the office of the city Ilerk prior to the effective date of such
precinct boundaries. '
3e The clerk shall notify each registered voter in any area affected by a change
in precinct boundaries at least thirty (30) days prior to the first election held
after the foregoing precinct boundaries become effective.
4. The clerk shall file with the Secretary of, State and the state demographer
in the state planning agency a map showing the correct boundaries of the precincts
in the municipality and shall keep a, copy of such map on file in the office of the
clerk for public inspection. ',
5, At least thirty (30) days beflore the foregoing precinct boundaries become
effective, the clerk will place on file for public inspection a map setting forth
the revised precinct boundaries and shall forward copies to the Secretary of State
and the state demographer. ~~ ,
6. For each election held in the municipality the clerk shall furnish copies
of the appropriate precinct maps to the election judges for each polling place.
