RESOLUTION N0. 6574
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING
BOUNDARIES OF ELECTION PRECINCTS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield as follows:
1. The boundaries of the election precincts, and polling places for such
election precincts, within the city are hereby established to be as follows:
Precinct 1. That area of the city lying east of Portland Avenue and
north of ~$th Street.
Polling Place: Mount Calvary Education Building
Precinct 2. That area of the city lying between Interstate Highway 35W
and Portland Avenue and also lying north of 6'8th Street. extended.
Polling Place: Church of St. Peter's
Precinct 3.. That area of the city lying west of Interstate Highway 35W
and north of 67th Street.
Polling Place:. Sheridan School
Precinct.4. That area of the city lying west of Penn Avenue and south
of 67th Street.
Polling Place: Lincoln Hills School
Precinct 5. That area of the city lying south of 67th Street between Penn
Avenue and Interstate Highway 35W.
Polling Place:
West Middle School
Precinct 6. That part of the city lying between Wentworth Avenue extended
and Interstate Highway 35W and lying south of 68th Street extended.
Polling Place: Central Elementary School
Precinct 7. That area of the city lying between Wentworth Avenue and
Portland Avenue and lying south of 68th Street.
Polling Place: Portland School
Precinct 8. That area lying between Portland Avenue and 12th Avenue
and lying south of 68th Street.
Polling Place: Elliott School
Precinct 9. That area of the city lying east of 12th Avenue and south
of 68th Street.

2. The foregoing precinct boundaries shall be effective on June 1, 1982.
Sixty (60) days. notice of the effective date of the foregoing precinct
boundaries shall be posted in th~ office of the city clerk prior to the
effective date of such precinct boundaries.
3. The clerk shall notify Balch registered voter in any area affected.
by a change in precinct boundaries at least thirty (30) days prior to the
first election held after the foregoing precinct boundaries become effective.
4. The clerk shall file with the Secretary of State and the state demo-
grapher in the state planning ag'iency a map showing the correct boundaries of
the precincts in the municipality and shall keep a copy of such map on file
in the office of the clerk for p~blic inspection.
5. At least thirty (30) daysl, before the foregoing precinct boundaries
become effective, the clerk wild, place on file for public inspection a map
setting forth the revised precinct boundaries. and shall forward copies to
the Secretary. of State and the s'~tate demographer.
6. For each election held in the municipality the clerk shall furnish
.copies of the appropriate precinct maps to the election judges for each
polling place. ',
