FIGHTING EQUIPMENT BY THE SEVEN
COUNTY FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINT
POWERS PURCHASING CONSORTIUM
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield maintains and operates a
municipal fire protection service, and
S+THEREAS , there exists a need ar,d des ire of the. municipal
fire pratection services throughout the seven county metro area
to achieve economies of scale that can be accomplished through
cooperative and/or joint purchasing of fire .protection supplies
and equipment, and ,
6+1~?EREAS , the City of Richf field considers it to be in the
best interests of the city to participate with the municipal
fire protection services in the seven county metro area in a
cooperative and/or joint purchase of fire protection supplies
and equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Richfield, through its City Manager does hereby author-
ize the participation of its municipal fire Drotection service
in cooperative and/or joint purchase of fire protection equip-
ment and supplies, through or with other member fire protection
services of the Seven County Metro Area Fire Departments Joint
and Cooperative Purchasing Consortium.
