RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON CITY PROJECT N0. 787
LHN MAINTENANCE FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1 - DECEMBER 31; 1983
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by
law, the council has met and passed upon all objections to the
proposed assessment for current services related to maintenance
of the Lyndale/Hub/Nicollet (LHN) Redevelopment Area,. which is
approximately bounded by 64th Street, First Avenue, 67th Street
and Emerson Avenue ir_ the City of Richfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Richfield, Minnesota, as follows:
1. Sueh proposed assessment roll, a copy of which is
attached hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the
special assessment against the lands named therein, and each
tract of land therein included is hereby found to be benefited
by the proposed eurrer.t services in the amount of assessment
levied against it.
2. Such assessment shall be payable before or during 1985
and shall bear interest at the rate of eight percent from the
date of adoption of this assessment resolution.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at ar.y time
prior to certification of the assessment to the county auditor,
pay the whole of the assessment or. such property to the city
treasurer and ,he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the city
treasurer the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid,
with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which
payment is made. Such payment must be made before November 15
or interest will be charged through December 31 of the
succeeding year.
4. The city clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
duplicate of this assessment roll to the county auditor to be
extended on the proper tax lists of the county, and such
assessment shall be collected and paid over in the same manner
as other municipal taxes.
