RESOLUTION NO. 6895
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HENNEPIN COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO INSTALL
A TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM ON 66TH STREET
AT VACATED PILLSBURY AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has entered into an agreement
with Kentucky Fried Chicken National Management Company to join"
in a joint application to the Hennepin County Department of Trans-
portation to install. a traffic signal system on 66th Street
(CSAH 53) at vacated Pillsbury Avenue at such time as certain
traffic volumes are met;. and
WHEREAS, it is understood that the full cost of said traffic
signal system, other than that portion, if any., borne by Hennepin
County, will be paid for by Kentucky Fried Chicken; and
WHEREAS, such system shall belong to Hennepin County and
shall be maintained by Hennepin County; and
WHEREAS, this signal system appears to be warranted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Richfield,
Minnesota:
That the Hennepin County Department of Transportation is hereby
requested to install a traffic control signal system on 66th Street
(CSAH 53) at vacated Pillsbury Avenue.
