RESOLUTION NO. 6872
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT
BITUMINOUS MIXTURE FOR PATH AT RICHFIELD LAKE
C.P. 7055
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the placement
of 710 tons of bituminous mixture for an eight foot wide, three inch
thick path and appurtenant work located at Richfield Lake,-bids were
received, opened and tabulated according to law;
AND WHEREAS, it appears that McNamara-Vivant Contracting Co..,
Inc., of Apple Valley, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of Richfield,
Minnesota:
1. That the bid of McNamara-Vivant Contracting Co. Inc. of
Apple Valley, Minnesota, for construction of the above-
mentioned project with estimated construction cost
of $21,569.00 is hereby accepted;
2. That the mayor and clerk are hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with McNamara-Vivant Contracting Co., Inc.
of Apple Valley, Minnesota, in the name of the City of
Richfield for such improvement according to the plans
..and specifications.;.
3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their
bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a'
contract has been signed.
Passed by the city council of the City of Richfield this
12th day of March, 1984.
