RESOLUTIONADOPTINGASSESSMENT FORTHE REMOVALOFDISEASED
TREES FROM PRIVATEPROPERTY FORWORK ORDERED DURINGJANUARY 1,
2020THROUGH DECEMBER 31,2020
WHEREAS,costshavebeen determined fortheremovalofdiseasedtrees from
privatepropertiesin theCityofRichfieldandtheexpensesincurredforsuchwork
orderedduringtheperiodofJanuary1,2020throughDecember31,2020amountto
$41,183.29.
WHEREAS,pursuanttopropernotice dulygivenasrequired bylaw,thecouncil
hasmetandpasseduponallobjectionstotheproposedassessmentforcurrent
servicesrelatedtotheremovalofdiseasedtreesfromprivatepropertiesin theCityof
Richfield and the expenses incurred for such work ordered during the period of January
1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. The costs to the properties are as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota:
1.Such proposed assessment roll, inthe amount of $41,183.29,ishereby accepted
andshall constitute the special assessment against the lands named herein, and
each tract of land therein included ishereby found to be benefited by the proposed
current services inthe amount oftheassessmentleviedagainstit.
2.Such assessment shall be payable inno more than one annual installment over 5
years and shall bear interest at the rate of five (5%)percent from the date of
adoption of this assessmentresolution.
3.The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the
assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such
property with interest accrued to the date of payment,
Division, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid by
November 12, 2021. A property owner may, at any time prior to November 19, pay
unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is
made.
4.The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment roll to
the County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the County and such
assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other
municipal taxes.
