RESOLUTION N0. 7156
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE REVISED CITY
GENERAL RECORDS RETENTLON SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Administration, the
League of Minnesota Cities, and a task force of local officials
have developed a general records retention schedule for cities;
and,
WHEREAS, this general records retention schedule for cities
has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Adminstration,
the Minnesota Historical Society, the Minnesota State Auditor,
and the Minnesota Attorney General; and,.
WHEREAS, adoption of the City_General Records Retention.
Schedule provides a plan for managing governmental records by
giving continuing authority to dispose of records under
Minnesota Statutes 138.17;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby adopt. the Minnesota City General Records Retention
Schedule (revised November, 1985) in it's entirety.
