RESULT OF THE JULY 23, 1987 STORM
WHEREAS, on the evening of Thursday, July 23, 1987 the City
of Richfield experienced a storm of monumental proportions, and
WHEREAS, the storm created an emergency situation in and for
the City of Richfield, and
WHEREAS, it became necessary for the health and safety of
the community, and in an effort to keep damages to a minimum, to
purchase materials, supplies and services immediately, and
WHEREAS, some oertcircumstancess have beenxmade through0a0
and would, under oth
formal bidding process
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the
City of Richfield that
1. The formal bidding process is hereby waived due to
emergency nature of purchasing.
2. The city manager is authorized to approve said purchases
made as a result of the July 23 storm.
