RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT
IN THE INTERSTATE/LYNDALE/NICOIIET MAINTENANCE AREA

WHEREAS, city ordinance authorizes the City Council of the
City of Richfield to propose levying a special assessment for
maintenance services,
BE IT RESO~VEO by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota:
1. A hearing shall be held on the 11th-day of April, 1988, in
the council chambers of city hall at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon a
proposed assessment for certain maintenance services, and at such
time and place all persons owning property in the ILN
Redevelopment District east of Lyndale Avenue and south of 77th
Street and the property identified by Hennepin County Property
Identification Number 34-028-24-33-0073 affected by such servicesF
will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such
assessment.
2. The maintenance services which are proposed to be undertaken
within this district, the cost of which is proposed to be
specially assessed against benefited commercial and multiple
family residential property within the district include, but are
not necessarily limited to, the following:
Landscape maintenance of common properties, including tree
trimming, mowing, fertilizing, edging, etc; irrigation
maintenance; painting and repair of wood furniture; trash
removal and general maintenance including repairs and
replacement of lights, sidewalks, curbs, furniture,
plantings, etc.
The estimated cost of providing all of such maintenance services
within the proposed district for the period of January 1, 1988
through December 31, 1988 is $7,000.
3. The city clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the
hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the
official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing. He
shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each
parcel described in the assessment not less than two weeks prior
to the hearings.
