RESOLUTION N0. 7499
RESOLUTION WITHDRAWING PARTICIPATION BY THE
CITY OF RICHFIELD FROM THE MINNESOTA POLICE
RECRUITMENT SYSTEM (MPRS)
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield and the Minnesota Police
Recruitment System have participated in the recruitment of Police
Officers since 1978; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield now elects to begin a
recruitment process and candidate selection by a system designed,
implemented and managed by in-house staff, and;
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Sections 1 and 2, of the "Joint
Cooperative Agreement" provides for withdrawal by the City
through a resolution by the City Council by giving a 30-day
notice.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby adopt and approve a resolution withdrawing from
participation with the Minnesota Police Recruitment System as
provided for in Article XIII, Sections 1 and 2, of the Agreement
and that the effective date of withdrawal shall be 30 days from
January 23, 1989.

23rd day of January, 1989.
