RESOLUTION NO. 7603
RESOLUTION REVOKING
RESIDENTIAL KENNEL LICENSE
(6337 - 21ST AVENUE SOUTH)
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1989, the City Counc~ did grant a residential
kennel license to permit the keeping of up to five dogs on the residential property
located at 6337 - 21st Avenue South, Richfield, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, following the grant of such license, employees of the City's
department of public safety have become aware of certain conditions on the
property which call into question the continuation of the license; and
WHEREAS, at its January 22, 1990, meeting, this City Council did set a
hearing on the possible revocation of the kennel license for February 12, 1990, and
did direct that notice of that hearing be given in the manner provided in the
Ordinance Code of the City; and
WHEREAS, this Council has now conducted such hearing, has received the
reports and information from the department of public safety, the city manager,
the licensee, residents from the licensee's neighborhood;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, makes the following findings:
1. Notice of this hearing was duly served upon the licensee as is required by
Subsection 905.31, Subdivision. 5 of the Ordinance Code.
2. The licensee was afforded an opportunity to be present at the hearing and to
offer testimony in opposition to the proposed license revocation.
3. The residential kennel license granted on November 13, 1989, permitted the
licensee to keep up to five dogs over the age of six months on the licensed
premises from the date of issuance until June 30, 1990.

The Council specifically finds that the licensee has violated the regulations
contained in paragraphs 4, 5 and 6 above, each of which independently forms
the basis for revocation of the residential kennel license.
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED, 'ion the basis of the foregoing that the
residential kennel license issued to 6337 - 21st Avenue South is hereby revoked and
the licensee shall have thirty (30) days from the date of this action to reduce the
number of dogs kept on the property toga number below which a residential kennel
license is required.
