RESOLUTION NO. 7821
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH
RESIDENTIAL WASTE HAULERS
FOR COLLECTION OF SOURCE SEPARATED RECYCLABLES
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield will continue to participate
in Hennepin County's recycling grants program as long as the
County continues to subsidize these programs and as long as
Richfield residents"must pay into the recycling fund, and
WHEREAS, the City relies on private residential waste
haulers to collect recyclables; and
WHEREAS, agreements with recycling service providers are
necessary in order to receive funding from Hennepin County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Richfield, that:
1. The Mayor and City Manager be authorized to enter into
agreements with residential waste haulers for curbside collection
of source separated recyclables and
2. The agreement will apply to services rendered from
January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1992.
